A3G Architects designed a new home on the site where an historic home was lost to a fire. Although the home was destroyed, the homeowners wanted their new home to keep as many period elements as possible in a modern home. The one and a half story craftsman home, of roughly 4000 sq. ft., located in downtown Liberty, Missouri was reconstructed from the ground up and featured previous period features including built in bookcases and wrap around stone and wood porch. A main floor master bedroom and bath were key first floor elements, along with an open kitchen/dining room, mud/laundry room, living room and half bath. The second story accommodated three additional bedrooms and a full hall bath. The project was finalized with a three-car garage and a loft space above.
