The Veterans Community Project (VCP) held a grand opening for their Community Building in December 2019, seven months after beginning construction. This facility houses the wrap-around services for veterans who live in the village. These services include a legal office, dental office, medical office, barber shop, clean room for new arrivals, a pet grooming room, veterinarian’s office, laundry facilities, and a training kitchen. There is also a reception area, several offices for staff, restrooms, a commercial kitchen, and a large fellowship hall.
It is the intent of VCP that all the potential needs of the residents will be met onsite in this prototype center. VCP has plans to go nationwide with this concept and currently has villages in the works for St. Louis, Missouri and Denver, Colorado.
