Project Description
This 3,157-square-foot historic renovation required a careful balance between preservation and modern functionality. Originally built in 1905, the home retained strong architectural character but needed thoughtful updates to support its new use as an event venue and guest space. The design maintained original trim, doors, fireplaces, and leaded glass while improving circulation, updating systems, and integrating modern amenities.
On the main level, spaces were reconfigured to enhance flow for gatherings while preserving the home’s historic layout. The kitchen was opened to create a functional catering area, featuring exposed original brick, custom inset cabinetry, and period-inspired lighting. The parlor and dining room were connected to support both large and intimate events, and new restroom facilities were discreetly integrated. Throughout the project, original spaces such as the library and butler’s pantry were preserved, maintaining the home’s character while adapting it for contemporary use.
