Project Description

This historic restoration focused on stabilizing and preserving one of Liberty’s mid-nineteenth-century homes while returning it to viable residential use. The project included foundation repair and tuckpointing, removal of non-original siding to restore clapboard, and careful repair of porch elements, roof, and chimneys. Original windows and doors were preserved where possible, with thoughtful replacements that match historic character.

A rear addition was repurposed into a compatible two-car garage, and site improvements enhanced access while maintaining the home’s integrity.

Guided by Historic District standards, the project prioritized retaining original materials and architectural details. Today, the Bryant-Rothwell House stands restored—contributing once again to Liberty’s historic fabric and ensuring its legacy for years to come.
